Artistic Director/
Accompanist
In February 2017, JEANETTE COOPER, longtime Accompanist for the Long Island Gay Men's Chorus, was appointed Artistic Director and Accompanist of the LIGMC. Jeanette is honored to "change hats," as it were, for the Chorus, and she looks forward to traveling with them in a bright future.
She has been an accompanist and theatrical music director for more years than she is willing to admit,
always taking pleasure in crafting a beautiful choral sound. Currently, in addition to working with the LIGMC, Jeanette is a Church Organist/Choir Director, Accompanist for the North Shore Chamber Choir,
Brookhaven Choral Festival, and the Mount Sinai School District. Jeanette is also the Theater Musical Director for the Port Jefferson School District and a private piano teacher.
